Since March last year Chalgrove Wines has seen a huge change in the industry as a whole, from virtual celebrations during lockdown to an increase in the sales of prosecco and Provence rose.
Mayfly Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough and Boissan Cote de Rhone Villages were also best sellers and continue to be so.
As we move into Spring we are turning our attention towards lighther bodied wines. Two to look out for are the Mont-Auriol Sauvignon Blanc from France and Calusari Pinot Noir from Romania, excellent value at under £10!
The trade business has continued to suffer greatly because of the Covid-19 pandemic, with every aspect of the industry affected. But as we look forward to Al Fresco dining starting in April here's to brighter times ahead. So as life begins to return to normal, enjoy the simple pleasures in life, as Alexander Fleming said
"Penicillin cures, but wines makes people happy"!
